Percy Nilegård, Torsk på Tallinn
No ball, no matter. Photos by Linus.
AfterLilja 4-ever and Torsk på Tallinn, a visit to Paldiski was inevitable. We expected poverty, decay and deserted industries, but found it to be a pretty decent place with lots of activity and restoring of the old buildings everywhere.
Anyway, here is a glimpse of the few Soviet relics that still go unattended.
Evilcorp.
Bigger than huge...
Unreal colours. Not edited! Hope you're watching this on a CRT-display.
It doesn't matter that there is no ball and that the ground is gravel, you can still play!
Like i said this does not make a fair selection of Paldiski views, merley ones that please the camera. Check out linusnillson.bloggspot.com for more.
and here's a map:
Doesn't get any more central than this, Suur Karja 18 in Vanalinn (Old town). A russian bar in the first door on the right, a cafe on the left and another bar straight across the street...
Ok, so here it is:
(The picture is pretty old and taken by someone else.)
It´s in the house on the left just around the corner. Some white paint and a coffetable and we should be fine. As mentioned, there are hundreds of open WIFI-networks in Tallinn and fortunatley also in our street, free internet rocks!
Back in Tallinn again. Looked at a few apartments, nothing great but good enough. Doesn't seem to be any problems with finding one at least... Pretty cool with the public WIFI-networks everywhere, never pay for internet again :)
Jan 23rd: 5 million Skype users online!
...the old apartment. Tallinn on wednesday, haven't really got a place to stay yet but we'll sort that out when we get there.
Excited.
