Nothing to show so far. Stay assured, there will be.
Rocca al Mare is Tallinns "Open air museum", some seventy houses from the 17- and 18th century (the 17th century comprising the years 1700 to 1799 and 18th 1800 to 1899 despite the writing language) by the bay of Kopli. Basically you stroll around, check out the totally non-vegetarian resturant, look at windmills, pay a visit to the gift shop and go back home again. Many of the old houses have been moved here from all over Estonia, still, the place has a genuine feel to it and was well worth the visit.
There was even a saun in the back
Sorry about the effects-frenzy
Work is good, Skype is good, Tallinn is good. Life is good.
I just can't get enough. These buildings remind me of heavy monsters, a grey living mass, a system larger than human life. I imagine that when man is extinct, they will still be there along with oceans and mountains. Note that the picture is taken in full color.
The hat that made us look a bit less like tourists.
I don't know what appeals to me in these depressing areas but there is somthing more to it than just ugliness.
Just when you think you got used to Tallinn, this hits you on your way home. Picture taken in Viru Keskus.
A few beers and a stroll around the block. Vanalinn is beautiful by night.
The cinema and nightclub outside our apartment
Probably the best girlfriend in the world
Our door to the staircase is made from heavy iron and has a lock that would withstand more than the actual house. I have always wondered if locking the door at night really makes a difference, i mean do people really try doors at random in the night? To investigate this we have a security system consisting of Linus keys on the inside handle. If someone feels the handle from the outside, we'll know about it. So far nothing.
So far i have recieved two comments. I know you are reading this so start commenting, bastards!
There are nine different bars, resturants or nightclubs within 150 metres of our apartment. We had the second hot meal at home today since the resturants are everywhere and very good. Prices are reasonable but service is often lousy (and if you complain they get pissed off).
I can't get hold of a notebook without lines or squares. Don't people draw in Tallinn?
Added a bunch of pictures, no particularily good ones though.
